New JCCL WiFi Pavilion

The CT State Library and Gov. Ned Lamont created the Everyone Learns Library Grant that was offered to 61 CT libraries and JCCL was one of the lucky to be chosen.

Library staff noticed how many people were sitting in their cars last summer using the WIFI and wanted to create a comfortable space for everyone to use the high-speed internet we had installed. new wifi pavilion

Everybody Learns Initiative – Closing the Digital Divide

Governor Lamont has granted the Janet Carlson Calvert Library monies to upgrade the internet and computers to provide the fastest connection for everyone as part of his Everybody Learns Initiative. To comply with this initiative, the library has purchased new computers and arranged individual workspaces for students and anyone in need. Bring your own or use ours to get the work done. Have need of a tablet or laptop? The Library can loan one for home. Stop in and see the changes we were able to achieve.

The Library follows all CDC and State guidelines to keep you and the Staff safe. We thank Governor Lamont for supporting libraries and helping us through this difficult time.
